Enhanced Online Teaching Procedures at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology

Last year, 十大靠谱网投平台 partnered with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the U.S. Embassy in Ghana’s University Partnerships Initiative in response to the need for virtual education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have successfully implemented Phase 1 of the virtual project, having trained 30 administrators and faculty from KNUST in online and flexible learning. These participants are now working in pairs to train hundreds of their colleagues during the weeks to come.

Following the implementation of the project, 十大靠谱网投平台 seized the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Mavis Osei, a Senior Lecturer at KNUST, over a video conferencing platform. She discussed the new strategies she has applied to her teaching to train her colleagues at KNUST and how these new principles and ideas were received by her students. Dr. Osei primarily trains teachers who have returned to school for postgraduate education.

“With the new things I’ve learnt [from the program], I am sure that when I start applying them. [My students] will realize that I am not just teaching them just in passing cognitivity, but I am trying to help them learn for themselves,” said Dr. Osei.
